Are we next?????

Well the next batch of referrals was released yesterday. According to the CCAA website:

"The CCAA has finished the review of the adoption application documents registered with our office in May 2005. The CCAA has finished the placement of children for the families whose adoption application documents were registered with our office before April 25, 2005"

Unfortunately, we weren't included in this latest cut off. But, this means we are next. When next will be no one knows due to the start of the Chinese New Year in late January. I have to believe that one more round of referrals will be released before the holiday. Come on red thread - don't let us down now!!!!

So, where are we at now?

Well, the months have been slowly ticking away and we have been patiently waiting for our referral. The last several months have been rather depressing as China has slowed a little, sending only two weeks of LID referrals per month instead of only whole months. I understand they are undergoing a bit of reorganization at CCAA to be more efficient and to ensure the safety of the children. What ever it takes I say!

But, finally, we are ever so close. Rumors are starting to build that the next batch of referrals could be the rest of April and the first part of May! That means us! The CCAA website reports that dossiers logged in during the month of May are done with review so that means we should be in the matching room. And just perhaps a small Christmas Prayer is being answered. Someone could be holding our dossier right now and holding little Savannah's dossier and making the decision to put us together as a family. Our red thread may finally be joined!
